The accounts of various scholars and historians narrate the same story, but the words differ. Linguists believe thatย nลทokรคย in the ancient tongue meant Silver Snake or Silver Slange. Henceforth the western land was called Nyokai because it was inhabited by the now extinct species of Silver Snakes. As far as the old fortress of Ancient Jyria is considered, archeologists believe that the castle’s foundations were questionable and might have involved something supernatural. Yet, it was hard to conclude since the fortress was rebuilt many times. Yet the findings of few relics during excavations still force some to believe that it was indeed built by some form of mythical power. ย

The Hundred Isles were once in a single piece as the western land in the Northern Old Sea of the Fantasy World. Legends have it that it was where, Zyscalir, the God of Death, Peace & Darknessย held his court with all his creatures of the dark. However, when he heard of the conspiracy hatching between Layhda and her newlywed husbandย Asycllus, the God of Life, Struggle, Pain & Light, he shattered the land into hundred pieces, henceforth named the Hundred Isles, to create a maze that would devour anyone who dared to even sail into the waters surrounding those isles. And even yet, no living soul dares to venture near them.

As far as the beliefs of various explorers and scholars who dared to ever sail near the isles and solve the mystery that prevails there, they remain in agreement that no living soul can even sail through the islands lest stepping on lands. However, they ignore the fact that there prevails darkness, which devours the light and life as claimed by the Pygons & Priests. To counter that, they lay facts such as the land breaking into pieces was due to an eruption of volcano ages back, which resulted in the release of poison into the waters. The very air carries poisonous gas unfit for living beings to inhale. Hence, the truth of the Hundred Isles lay hidden and is subjected to the assumptions & understandings of the men.

Aergerya is the most disputed and mysterious land of the Old Sea in the history of the fantasy world. The ancient scriptures of the temple mention it as Aergerya, the Queendom of Aergersa,ย the Goddess of War, Strength & Change. However, the saga of theย Fall of the Fiveย mentions it as the Battlefield of the War of the Gods. It is the land which staged as the center field for the War. Legends claim that the War fought there was of such a destructive level that the land lay barren even after so many years. No trees can take roots in the soil, nor could any wildlife prevail there. After all those years, there remains nothing but burned valleys and smoking rivers. There is no mention of what lies at the center of the Dark Stretch in the living memory of men. Only a few scriptures mention a vast castle built by Aergersa, which lay in the central lands of Aergerya, and that once a beautiful and prosperous city prevailed there.ย  ย

What lies deeper into those lands is another excellent topic of discussion among scholars. Despite the beliefs of the Hall of the Five, the scholars believe that the reason which prevents humans from sailing closer to the Hundred Isles is the same reason which prevents them from venturing deeper into the Dark Stretch. Only those who desire to extract a few metals and strange poisons from the valleys anchor their ships ashore, but none dare venture further. No matter if they turn a blind eye to the existence of a supernatural cause behind it, some find it hard to eliminate the possibility.

Dwarf Isles are believed to have been inhabited only a few centuries back when discrimination arose based on body stature, and dwarves became the easiest target of men. This spark of discrimination kindled in the alleys of small folk, and no sooner the flames were spreading within the walls of the castles. Not long after, dwarves were declared an abomination around every corner of the world. As a result, new laws were made, and a separate piece of land was given to dwarves by the nine kings of all the lands.

Ever since this agreement was made, dwarves from the Western and Eastern Lands were forced to leave their homes and move to a secluded island of the Old Sea with unknown people. However, the dwarves formed a clan of their own and a body to govern above them. And within no time, they succeeded in establishing their civilization. It has now emerged as one of the biggest ports of merchants and traders, and the dwarves have flourished since then.
